The desk (1) has a transit barrier (3) comprising a movable locking element (4) that is displaceably arranged at the desk. The locking element locks a transit (2) between two desks in use position and releases the transit in a non-usage position. The locking element is supported on two rails (5), where each rail is designed as a double rail. The locking element is provided with a positional relationship element (6) i.e. carriage. The barrier is provided with a panic function, a reciprocal panic function and a panic alarm. The barrier is moved laterally in the non-usage position.
