The archive box (1) has multiple display levels (4A,4B,4C,4D) with movable segments (2A,2B,2C) providing a storage surface (6). The upper side (5) of the archive box is partially transparent. One of the segments is movable inside the archive box in horizontal direction. The lowest display level is immobile and the archive box also has a rectangular base surface and a horizontal longitudinal axis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Method for mounting an archive box; and (2) a method for operating an archive box.
