The drive device has an electric drive that is supported by a carrier (1), where a balancing spring (19) is engaged at the carrier and is engaged over a chain link (12) of a crank gear (4) at a drive shaft (5) of a gearbox (3). The balancing spring is a tension spring which is engaged at the crank gear over a spring eyelet (22) that is supported on a pin (14). The pin forms a joint axis of a crank joint (23) of the crank gear.
