The battery has multiple storage cells (2) that are electrically heated, and a heating wire (6) arranged on a housing i.e. beaker (8), of the cells and electrically insulated against the cells. The wire is insulated against a sleeve (10) e.g. heat shrink sleeve, surrounding the wire and the housing. The housing is made of electrical conductive material and insulated against the wire by inner sleeve (9), where the cells are produced by lithium ion technology and the wire is wrapped around the cells.
