The method involves comparing a brake torque with the maximum electrical braking torque of a vehicle, where the brake torque is requested by an operating person (3). A certain state is visualized, in which the requested braking torque is greater than the maximum electrical braking torque. Another state is visualized, in which the requested braking torque is less than the maximum electrical braking torque. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for representing a functional value of a hybridized propulsion system of a vehicle.
