PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor control circuit which alleviates a load of a CPU.;SOLUTION: The stepping motor control circuit includes a CPU which sets switching widths of first to eighth states to a pulse width setting register 15 at a stepping motor drive starting time, sets number of switching times of first to eighth states to a pulse switching times register 24, sets pattern data 1 to 8 of exciting pulses to a pattern set register 20, and sets a drive starting of the stepping motor to a drive start register 34. Then, an excitation pulse P is outputted from a latch 23, the stepping motor is driven to be accelerated, at a constant speed, and decelerated and stopped. Therefore, at the drive starting time, switching width and switching times of the first to eighth states are set, and pattern data 1 to 8 of the exciting pulses are set. If the drive starting is et, thereafter the CPU 2 does not need to be associated with the control of the stepping motor, but a processing load of the CPU is alleviated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
