A system and a method of evaluating microphone performance for recognizing remote voice in a robot are provided to suggest standards with regard to microphone selection for remote voice recognition for recognizing voice in a robot, thereby suggesting a guideline to a service provider who provides a voice recognition function by using a robot. A standards voice database(200) stores a voice signal necessary for evaluating performance of at least two microphones. When the voice signal is input from the standards voice database through a standards microphone and a target microphone, an estimating value calculating unit(230) estimates at least one of attenuation or distortion of a voice signal input correspondingly to selection of performance evaluation standards and makes the estimation by a value. A comparison unit(260) compares the value by the estimating value calculating unit with standards values. A microphone selection unit(270) determines whether the target microphone is selected according to the comparison result.
