Kit comprises at least: a first aqueous composition comprising at least one compound based on alginate; a second aqueous composition, different from the first composition, comprising at least one inorganic divalent salt comprising magnesium salt, calcium salt, strontium salt and barium salt, where the compound based on alginate and the divalent inorganic salt are capable of reacting together by chemical crosslinking reaction in situ, at atmospheric pressure and room temperature to form a film, and at least one of the first and the second compositions further comprises arabinogalactan. An independent claim is included for cosmetic process for coating of the skin and/or lips comprising successive application of: at least one layer of the first aqueous composition comprising at least one compound based on alginate; and at least one layer of the second composition comprising the divalent inorganic salt comprising magnesium salt, calcium salt, strontium salt and barium salt, on the skin and/or lips.
