The method involves simulating the operation of a pathway/radiation element assembly to obtain a series of simulated operating values for each considered temperature/frequency set. The series of simulated operating values is corrected with corresponding differences of a first set, for each temperature/frequency set. A difference between an ideal operating value and one of the corrected simulated values is determined for each temperature/frequency set, to form a second set. A calibration table is filled with the differences of the second set. An independent claim is also included for a device for calibrating an array antenna.
