The method involves evaluating dynamics of heat exchange of differential in constant manner from estimation of engine torque applied on a differential (CD) and estimation of speed difference (VD) of the differential to evolve an authorized limiting zone in a continuous way. An upper curve (2) is formed by utilizing a set of limitations calculated from the different estimations of engine torque and speed difference for low temperature of the differential, where the upper curve delimits a forbid zone (6). An independent claim is also included for an antiskid system for drive wheels of a motor vehicle.
