The circuit (1) has a first energy transformation unit (3) provided first supply current signal (I1), and another energy transformation unit (4) provided another supply current signal (I2). The former supply current signal is delivered to rectification and regulation unit (11) by a switching device (2) that is opened during weaking state of an electrical appliance. The former supply current signal is added to the latter supply current signal using a switching device that is closed during normal operating condition of the electrical appliance. An independent claim is also included for an electric household appliance.
