The air conditioner (1) has a sleep state acquisition system (100) determining a sleep state of a person. An air conditioning control unit (4a) determines controlled temperature of an air conditioning unit (2) according to the sleep state, and a function mode. The control unit progressively reduces the controlled temperature to temperature lower than initial controlled temperature during start of the sleep of the person and adjusts the controlled temperature to temperature higher than the initial controlled temperature when the person is in a deep sleep state.
