Ends (12a, 13a) of each retaining bracket are integrated with a receiving body (11) of the sheath end fitting. Other ends (12c, 13c) of the bracket comprise openings (12D, 13D) provided for a passage of a fixation screw of the device on the case of the gear box, where the device is made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a cable controller of a vehicle on a casing of a gear box of the vehicle.
