The device (10) has an output shaft (18) comprising two ends along a longitudinal extension of the output shaft. A torque transmission unit i.e. hexagonal recess, is provided in an interior part of the shaft between the two ends, where the interior part of the output shaft is partially formed as hollow shape. A coupling unit i.e. knurl, comprising a knurled area is provided at one of the ends for transmission of torque of a drive (12) to a windscreen wiper. The torque transmission unit is arranged closer to the end than at the other end of the shaft.
