The assembly has a fuel filling trap case (10) mounted on a body shell of a motor vehicle. A pipe (20) connects the trap case to a fuel reservoir of the vehicle. The trap case is made of material that is rigid except at an annular bottom central part (12) that is made of flexible material. An assembling unit is placed on a head of the pipe. The assembling unit assembles the head of the pipe on the trap case without requiring any intermediate piece and without requiring indexing of the assembly on the body shell of the vehicle.
