The device has a telescopic tubular structure (1) extending along a longitudinal axis (X'-X) and comprising an end (10) and an opposed end, and gripping units (2) mounted on the end of the structure. The gripping units comprise supporting units i.e. protrusions (3) with a bottom (30) forming a support surface orientated towards a direction opposite to a walking direction. The support surface has geometry for assuring stable balance maintenance of the device against a surface vertical to a frame (4) when the opposite end of the structure is rested on the ground.
