The package has a lateral band i.e. side walls (2004b-2004c), including two longitudinal side edges (2002, 2002a) connected by two end edges (2002b), where the band includes a curve or fold to provide a storage space for storage of a food product. A cover i.e. lid (2007), comprises a lateral border area fixed on the end edges of the band to enclose the food product in the storage space. The cover is fixed in a detachable way on the end edges and on one of the first longitudinal edges and on a part of the other longitudinal edge by peeling. An independent claim is also included for a method for realization of a package of a portionable food product.
