Access platform for use in hollow shafts, especially prefabricated concrete elevator shafts

A platform which can be used in the erection of e.g. prefabricated concrete lift shafts, includes a pair of telescopically engaged sliding platform sections 1, 2, opposite ends of which are provided with pairs of projecting locking heads 7 for engagement with apertures C which are preformed in opposite sides of the shaft. The heads 7 may be T-shaped and carried on screw-threaded rods 6 which are provided with turning handles 8. The apertures may be T-section channels. A demountable safety barrier 11 including a handrail (14 fig 2) may be releasably secured to one longitudinal side of the outer platform section 1.
