PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin carbon fiber yarn fabric, a method for manufacturing the same, and a carbon fiber precursor yarn fabric to be a raw material of the carbon fiber yarn fabric.SOLUTION: A carbon fiber precursor yarn to be used as at least a weft includes, as materials, a carbon fiber precursor fiber, and a disappearing fiber blended or stranded with the carbon fiber precursor fiber. A carbon fiber yarn fabric includes, as materials, the carbon fiber precursor yarn fabric, in which a thickness is 50-300 μm, a gapping degree is 2-20%, bending resistance and an electric resistance value each are within a particular range, and a metric yarn count of a carbon fiber yarn is selected from a group consisting of a single yarn of 1/50-200 Nm and a ply yarn of 2/100-2/400 Nm. The carbon fiber yarn fabric is preferably used for a gas diffusion electrode of a fuel cell.
