PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of reconfiguring an optical path at an optional timing and all designated optical paths from a given communication device as origin.;SOLUTION: Communication device (NE21) includes: determination means (a pass reconfiguration determination process part 216) for determining whether a designated optical path can be switched to a more effective path when a trigger instructing the reconfiguration of an optical path is received; and reconfiguration means (a reroute process part 215) for switching the optical path to a more effective path in collaboration with an autonomous distribution control protocol if determined by the determination means that there is such path.
