PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dew condensation preventing device of a coating apparatus which prevents dew condensation of a coating material by getting rid of stay of peripheral air in consideration of the fact that behavior of the supplied coating material becomes unstable due to an air stream accompanying paper running in the coating apparatus, particularly in the case of a curtain coater, a curtain-shaped coating film easily swings and though counter air is blown in order to counter the accompanying air and to cancel out wind pressure of the accompanying air, stay of the peripheral air occurs at a downstream side, dew condensation of evaporated coating material occurs on a circumferential wall surface of a coating material supply port and fall of a water droplet injures a paper surface.;SOLUTION: Above an air cutting device 4 for blowing out the counter air, an exhauster having a suction duct 6, where a suction port 6a directing a downstream side of a paper P running direction Q is formed, is disposed to suck the peripheral air.
