PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a comparison taking meanings of character strings into consideration in comparison processing between the character strings.SOLUTION: A concept structure generation part 4 divides character strings of comparison object items of records included in each of computer-assisted name identification source data 2A and computer-assisted name identification destination data 2B which are comparison objects into word units. Further, the concept structure generation part 4 regards concept symbols identifying respective words included in the respective character strings in terms of meaning as elements, and generates computer-assisted name identification source concept structure 10A and computer-assisted name identification destination concept structure 10B to which the respective elements are related based upon meaning attributes representing meaning properties that the words have or arrangements of the words. A collation part 5 compares the concept symbols of the respective elements corresponding to each other in the computer-assisted name identification source concept structure 10A and the computer-assisted name identification destination concept structure 10B with each other so as to generate comparison results for each item, and puts the comparison results of the respective items together to generate an overall evaluation value 11. A determination part 6 determines whether or not both the records match each other based upon the overall evaluation value 11 and a determination threshold of computer-assisted name identification processing definitions 9 and outputs computer-assisted name identification results 3.
