PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell evaluation device enabling to estimate the state of cells without dyeing the cells.;SOLUTION: The cell evaluation device includes a region extraction portion 44 for extracting a region occupying the first kind of cells and cell aggregates and a region occupying the second kind of cells, in a target picture in which the first kind of cells and the second kind of cells present on the periphery of the first kind of cells and together cultured are imaged, a characteristic quantity calculation portion 45 for calculating a characteristic quantity exhibiting the morphological characteristics of the second kind of the cells present in the region occupied with the second kind of the cells extracted in the region extraction portion 44, and an evaluation treatment portion 48 for evaluating the state of the first kind of the cells on the basis of a corresponding relation of the characteristic quantity exhibiting the morphological characteristics of the second kind of the cells to the state of the first kind of the cells.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
