PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary-type continuous optical inspection device for an empty can and revolving transfer device for a container capable of improving productivity, durability and inspection quality.SOLUTION: A rotary-type continuous optical inspection device for an empty can 1 includes; a duplex star wheel 32 for revolving an empty can α; reciprocation means 2 for holding and making the revolving empty can α reciprocate; a light seal ring disk 36 in which an opening end of the transferred empty can α is engaged; an upper light 42 and lower light 44 for applying light to the outside face of the empty can α; and an optical detector. The reciprocation means 2 comprises a head 106, a disk cam 96, a support plate 25, and an LM guide 24 and others.
