PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer actuator assembly using an ion conductive polymer membrane and capable of controlling various action such as bending action, diameter enlarging action and linear action, and a manufacturing method and an operating method thereof, and furthermore, to provide a practical polymer actuator assembly capable of displacing large as an actuator to improve generating force and possible to be manufactured in a lump, and a manufacturing method and an operating method thereof.;SOLUTION: In this polymer actuator assembly, one piece of the ion conductive polymer membrane having a bending part and provided with an electrode layer in both surfaces thereof is used as a structural unit, and the adjacent structural units are arranged two-dimensionally to form a assembly of the structural units, and the bending part of each of the structural units is bent for action.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
