PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for manufacturing a modified porous hollow-fiber membrane which restrains fungus bodies, cells and the like, contained in a liquid to be treated, from being crushed and improves filtering capability in a cross flow of low linear velocity; a modified porous hollow-fiber membrane; a module using the modified porous hollow-fiber membrane; a filtering device using a modified porous hollow-fiber membrane; and a filtering method using the modified porous hollow-fiber membrane.;SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the modified porous hollow-fiber membrane, a thermosetting resin, an organic liquid and inorganic micropowder are fused and kneaded, and the fused and kneaded mixture thus obtained is discharged from a double-ring-shaped discharging opening 21 and cooled and solidified, and then the organic liquid and the inorganic micropowder are removed by extraction to obtain the modified porous hollow-fiber membrane 1. In this case, the discharging opening 21 is composed of a ring-shaped interior part 23 and an exterior part 24 which is arranged so that it surrounds the interior part 23, and concavities and convexities 25 are formed along the circumferential direction of the interior part 23 on the external circumferential part 23a of the interior part 23.
