METHOD FOR PRODUCING TUBULAR TWISTED YARN AND TUBULAR TWISTED YARN PRODUCED BY THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tubular twisted yarn with excellent productivity, which allows appropriate control of functional coating materials applied to the tubular twisted yarn so that various functions can be sufficiently exerted according to the applications of the tubular twisted yarn without loss of moisture-absorbing/releasing properties and flexibility of a paper tape as a base, and to provide the tubular twisted yarn produced by the method.;SOLUTION: In the method for producing a tubular twisted yarn 10 obtained by twisting a paper tape 12, a functional coating material 14 is applied to the surface of the paper tape 12 in a portion which is exposed as the outer surface of the tubular twisted yarn 10, at least when the tubular twisted yarn 10 is formed, from a side end edge 12a on a winding end side during twisting toward the center of the paper tape 12 in a width direction. Then, the paper tape 12 is twisted so that the portion having the functional coating material 14 applied thereto is arranged to form the whole exposed surface of the tubular twisted yarn 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
