PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus, an image display method and an image display program which can quickly carry out a search when searching for an image from a plurality of images for image display. PSOLUTION: A smiling level is determined on a face which is in the center of each of a plurality of images (S32), a representative image is searched from a plurality of images based on the determined smiling level (S36) and then it is displayed (S37). Furthermore, when searching for the representative image, the number of persons who are photographed is also taken into consideration in addition to the smiling level (S33).
