PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a route of a wavelength path in which a quality is assured with efficiently utilizing existing 3R in a translucent network where 3R is arranged in advance by an expected demand.;SOLUTION: A wavelength path route determination apparatus determines a route of a wavelength path which is set by: topology information that indicates each wavelength multiplex link and optical nodes at both ends of the wavelength multiplex link in a network; wavelength condition information that indicates usage condition of a wavelength included in each wavelength multiplex link; quality determination information that indicates grade of quality deterioration of a passing optical signal to each wavelength multiplex link and each optical node; and node attribute information that indicates existence of reproduction relay apparatus in each optical node. Based on the topology information, the wavelength condition information, the quality determination information, and the node attribute information, the same unused wavelength can connect between the optical nodes at both ends of the wavelength path to be set, and a route of the wavelength path to be set is selected among routes whose grade of quality deterioration is lower than a predetermined threshold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
