PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve boot load without making it necessary to provide an NBP(Network Boot Program).;SOLUTION: This computer system 1 includes a diagnostic processor 6 connected through an exclusive diagnostic path 7 with all devices configuring the computer system 1, and connected through a network 9 for diagnosis to an external server 8, and connected through a network 13 for an OS to the external server 8. An input/output device (IOP) 5 includes a post-initialization flag 10 indicating the state of the computer system 1 posterior to initialization, and prior to boot-load and an address table designating the write destination of the data to be boot-loaded. An input/output device 5 of the computer system 1 receives the data of an OS file 11 to be transmitted from the external server 8 through the network 13 for the OS, and writes the data in a prescribed storage area in the main storage device (MMU) 3 according to the address table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
