PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time for security management of a printed matter, and, in detail, to dispense with reading of true identification information of the printed matter. PSOLUTION: The identification information for identifying the printed matter is incorporated in a printed part in the printed matter, and the identification information is formed by printing one dot pattern out of identification dot patterns comprising dot patterns having each other a complementary relation by magnetic ink, and by printing the other dot pattern by nonmagnetic ink. The genuineness determination of the printed matter using the identification information is carried out by comparing a waveform signal obtained by scanning the identification dot pattern. The waveform signal obtained from the genuineness identification information is acquired from the identification dot pattern by calculation, the waveform signal is acquired by scanning the printed identification information by a sensor, as to the printed matter of a determination object.
