PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which is bright and excellent in responsiveness by reducing disclinations associated with a vertical orientation liquid crystal.;SOLUTION: A color filter substrate for a vertical orientation liquid crystal display comprises: a black matrix, which is provided on a transparent substrate, is composed of a light-shielding layer composed of a resin on which light shielding pigment is dispersed and has multiple openings; a transparent conductive film formed on the transparent substrate comprising the black matrix; and colored pixels of multiple colors formed in a pixel area which is divided by the multiple openings, on the transparent conductive film.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
