PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition giving a flat coating surface and effective for preventing the generation of uneven surface and pinholes, a transfer material produced by using the composition, a light-shielding film for display devices, a method for forming the film, a black matrix, a substrate having a light-shielding film, a color filter and a display device.;SOLUTION: The resin composition at least comprises (A) metallic particles or particles containing a metal, (B) at least one kind of resins and their precursors and (C) at least one kind of compounds selected from a compound having acetylene skeleton or a betaine-type compound having perfluoroalkyl group.
