PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a water stop valve after construction, and then close an open hole formed in the peripheral wall of a water pipe to be embedded with water tightness while resisting to strong water pressure.;SOLUTION: To the open hole 1b formed in part of the peripheral wall 1a of the metal water pipe 1 for the water stop valve to be mounted therein, a hole closing member 11 is fitted to which an elastic seal material 11b such as a rubber is fitted to cover the concave face of a metal piece 11a cut off the peripheral wall 1a during forming the opening hole 1b, corresponding to the inner face of the peripheral wall 1a, and the outer periphery side face thereof, after removing the water stop valve. A supporting member (a two-split T-shaped pipe 2) mounted on the outer periphery of the water pipe 1 is used for supporting the hole closing member 11 non-movably in the direction of the center axis of the open hole 1b, and then the open hole 1b is closed with water tightness.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
