PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording device and a data recording method further reducing access time for reading updated information required for using a write-once disk.;SOLUTION: The write-once disk, and the disk and method for recording data on the write-once disk are disclosed. The write-once disk comprises: a plurality of update regions where prescribed pattern of information to be updated is recorded; at least one main access information region where main access information for indicating a final update region in which finally updated information is recorded is recorded in the plurality of update regions; at least one sub access information region for recording sub access information for indicating a location of the finally updated information recorded in the final update region. The main access information is recorded repeatedly in one recording block, thus further reducing access time for reading the prescribed type of information required for using a write-once disk.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
