PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for controlling the rotational speed of a roll in bath capable of enhancing the quality of a plated steel strip by correctly measuring the rotational speed of the roll in bath, and preventing any slip between the roll in bath and the steel strip based on the measured rotational speed.;SOLUTION: The device 1 for controlling the rotational speed of the roll in bath comprises a permanent magnet 14 provided on the roll in bath 5, a detection sensor 15 provided outside a metal bath 3 to detect the magnetic flux H of the permanent magnet 14, a rotational speed calculation means 17 for calculating the rotational speed of the roll in bath 5 based on the detected magnetic flux H, and a press-fit amount control means 29 for adjusting the press-fit with respect to a steel strip S of the roll in bath 5 based on the calculated rotational speed and the preset conveying speed of the steel strip S.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
