The present invention relates to a polynucleotide comprising a first nucleotide sequence, which hybridizes under slightly stringent conditions with a second nucleotide sequence being complementary to a third nucleotide sequence, which encodes an amino acid sequence defined in the Claim No. 1, wherein said first nucleotide sequence encodes a polypeptide that is capable of inducing immunogenic response to TbRa12, TbH9 and TbRa35 in the T cell proliferation test, or in interferon gamma production test, or it hybridizes under slightly stringent conditions with the second nucleotide sequence being complementary to the third nucleotide sequence, which encodes the amino acid sequence defined in the Claim No. 1, wherein said first nucleotide sequence encodes a polypeptide that is capable of inducing immunogenic response to TbRa12, TbH9 and TbRa35 in the T cell proliferation test, or in interferon gamma production test. The invention also relates to a polypeptide encoded by said polynucleotide, as well as to a pharmaceutical composition and a vaccine containing said polynucleotide or polypeptide, and to their use in the treatment and prevention of tuberculosis infection.
