The present invention relates to a novel membrane comprising a selectively permeable polymer layer, wherein the selectively permeable polymer layer can be obtained by reacting a hyperbranched polymer with a compound A that reacts with end groups of the hyperbranched polymer. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a hyperbranched polymer for producing a membrane comprising a selectively permeable polymer layer and to a method for producing the membrane according to the invention using a hyperbranched polymer.
