METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT PRINTING PLATES TO BE MANUFACTURED FOR A NEW PRODUCTION OF A PRINTING PRESS

The method involves visualizing a use of a printing plate (1) in a printing machine on a display of a display apparatus. Different points of use of the printing plate in the printing machine are displayed, where the display displays at which of the positions the printing plate is to be provided. Different states and/or different properties with respect to the printing plate and/or a position presently assumed by the printing plate on a transport path to the printing machine are additionally displayed by the display. An independent claim is also included for a device for providing information about a printing plate for new production of a printing machine.
