METAL POINTING DEVICE AND METAL POINTING METHOD

This metal pointing device is a device for forming a pointed part on the tip part of a metal tube before a drawing process. The pointing device is provided with a plurality of split dies which are disposed in a circular shape with the axial line as the center and receive the tip part, which is inserted concentrically with that same axial line and a pressing mechanism that makes these split dies approach and back off from the tip part. Each of the split dies has a parallel pressurization surface that touches the peripheral surface of the tip part and is parallel to the axial line when viewed in a cross-section including this axial line, an expanding diameter pressurization surface, which is continuous with the end edge of this parallel pressurization surface that is the deep side in the direction the metal tube is inserted and expands in diameter in the direction away from that end edge, and a latching surface that is formed continuously with the end edge that is on the front side of the parallel pressurization surface in the direction the metal tube is inserted into the split dies.
