The invention concerns rechargeable zinc electrodes for the use in rechargeable batteries. More particularly, the invention relates to electrically rechargeable porous zinc electrode incorporating Low Hydrogen Overvoltage Substances (LHOS) thus presenting reduced dendritic propagation, lesser electrode passivation and shape change and finally resulting in an increased number of charge/discharge cycles.
