The invention relates to a method for producing an acoustic material using waste resulting from the fragmenting of end-of-life vehicles. The method is characterized in that it includes at least the following steps: (i) a first step comprising the shredding and homogenization (1) of heterogeneous waste originating from an end-of-life vehicle, and (ii) a second step comprising the mixing of the shredded waste with a low-temperature fluxing agent (2). The resulting product is introduced into molds (3), the density and thickness of the product (4) being controlled for subsequent firing (5) at a stable temperature. The product is ready for characterization (6) once the curing time has elapsed.
