PURPOSE: A bidirectional check valve for preventing water hammering and a water hammering prevention system including the same are provided to prevent the passage width of a connection pipeline from becoming reduced even if water flows in a forward direction through the check valve.;CONSTITUTION: A bidirectional check valve(5') for preventing water hammering comprises a valve body(5'a) and a disc(5'b). A first through hole(5'c) and one or more second through holes(5'f) are formed in the center of the valve body. The disc is coupled to the valve body through a hinge and opens and closes the first through hole. Water flows through a through hole(5'd) of the disc. When the water flows in a forward direction, the disc is opened. When the water flows in a backward direction, the disc is closed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
