PURPOSE: A middle-pressure or high-pressure electric cable including a cross-linking layer is provided to enhance water treeing resistance.;CONSTITUTION: A middle-pressure or high-pressure electric cable(1) comprises electrical conductors(2), a first semi-conductive layer(3) which surrounds the electrical conductors, a second electrical insulating layer which surrounds the first layer(4), and a third semi-conductive layer(5) which surrounds the second layer. One or more of the three layers(3,4,5) is a crosslinked layer obtained from the crosslinkable composition including one or more polyolefin and organic peroxide as a crosslinking agent. The composition additionally includes aliphatic peroxide as a crosslink bonding agent. The aliphatic peroxide is selected from aliphatic peroxycarbonate, aliphatic peroxide of tertiary dialkyl, aliphatic peroxyacetal and aliphatic peroxyester or a mixture thereof.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
