COMPUTING SYSTEM AND METHOD USING NVRAM AND VOLATILE RAM TO IMPLEMENT PROCESS PERSISTENCE SELECTIVELY

PURPOSE: A computing system using NVRAM(Non-Volatile RAM) and volatile RAM to selectively implement the persistence of a process and a method thereof are provided to implement persistent computing environment suitable for a user by appointing the persistence of the process dynamically or flexibly. CONSTITUTION: An NVRAM(121) is operated as some part of a main memory. A volatile memory(122) is operated as other part of the main memory with the NVRAM. A memory controller(130) controls one or more of the NVRAM and the volatile memory. The NVRAM is an SCM(Storage Class Memory). The SCM performs a main memory role in order to perform computing related with the selected process as a persistent process.
