PURPOSE: A measuring device for the railway rail cross section of a guideline tract type rubber wheeled light-rail and a measuring method suitable for the same are provided to check the accord of a rail way and a guide track. CONSTITUTION: A measuring device for the railway rail cross section of a guideline tract type rubber wheeled light-rail comprises a main body(2), a collecting member and a GPS measure system. One or more rollers(1) are installed in the side of the main body in order to move on a guide rail. The collecting member collects the trajectory information of roadbed and railway rail. The GPS measure system is made of a GPS transmitter(3), a GPS receiver(4) and a GPS server. The GPS receiver collects the information of the transmitter. The GPS server indicates the information transmitted from the receiver.
