PURPOSE: A method for calculating moment of inertia and frictional coefficient of a dc servo-motor system is provided to improve accuracy since moment of inertia and frictional coefficient are calculated using input data and output data. CONSTITUTION: According to step is each input, angular velocity(wm) and angular acceleration are measured. The voltage equation of an armature circuit, the electromotive force relational expression, the torque relational expression, and equation of motion are induced. Accurate 1 value and 2 value are presumed using a complete least square method. The moment of inertia and frictional coefficient are calculated from the presumed 1 value and 2 value.
