PURPOSE: A bait trap for catching freshwater turtles is provided to prevent a captured turtle from being drowned and to facilitate carrying and folding thereof. CONSTITUTION: A bait trap for catching freshwater turtles comprises: a frame(1) equipped with a post installed between an upper frame and a bottom frame; a catching unit(21) which is installed in order to surround the outside of the frame and in which a turtle inlet port is formed in one or more sidewalls; a catching net(2) which is expanded to the top of the catching unit and consists of a respiration space unit(22) exposed to the water surface; and a support stand(4) which fixes and supports the frame and catching net.
