PURPOSE: A preservation method of cryptomeria japonica seed at super low temperature is provided to facilitate sprouting and to improve germination rate value. CONSTITUTION: A preservation method of cryptomeria japonica seed at super low temperature comprises: a step of dipping cryptomeria japonica seed in super low temperature cryoprotective agent solution and storing the cryptomeria japonica seed in liquid nitrogen; a step of thawing the cryptomeria japonica seed stored in the liquid nitrogen; and a step dipping the thawed cryptomeria japonica seed in polyethylene glycol solution.
