PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of an air electrode is provided to maximize catalytic performance of manganese dioxide, and to manufacture a lithium/air electrode secondary battery having improved charging/discharging performance by reducing overvoltage during an oxygen reduction reaction and oxygen generation reaction. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an air electrode comprises: a step of preparing an alpha phase manganese dioxide/carbon nanotube composite through a hydrothermal method at 150-200 C; a step of dissolving the alpha phase manganese dioxide/carbon nanotube composite and a binder into a solvent; and a step of coating a porous metal support with the mixture of the alpha phase manganese dioxide/carbon nanotube composite and binder.
